My dog is cheating on me.

Apparently Melissa is more comfortable to sleep next to than I am.
Could be the softer blankets or that she doesn’t move around much.
My bet is on the latter. That and the fact that Melissa will move over if pushed or lay around the animals if they are in a spot so as not to disturb them. I think the dog finally figured this out.

It snowed last night. Just a dusting, but snow none the less. If I had any true motivation I would get dressed and see if the snow was melted (it shouldn’t be) over the attic space where we had the new insulation blown in. But as I have no desire to get dressed, it is not going to happen.
Maybe it’s not snow, but fallout dust. I’d miss y’all in the lower 48, but I at least wouldn’t need to pay my mortgage. I imagine that would cause gas prices to go up.

The window seat is coming along. We have the top attached and the ‘tubes’ for the dowel back installed and flattened. Tonight we flush trim the top and put on the last of the cladding. After that, we do the lid and the bench gets some trim.

6:40am; now it’s snowing again.
and now I’m running late. I really shouldn’t do this in the mornings before work.

  1. The cats prefer sleeping on me, yeah, because I don’t move as much. Part of why I don’t move as much is because if I’ve got 20 pounds of cat weighing me down, I have to wake all the way up in order *to* move, whereas Ted can stay completely asleep and shove them off the bed. :)

    • The Cat doesn’t usually lay on me. Unless I’ve been sweating or have Tiger balm on. Either way it’s very disturbing to be woken up with purring and a nose shoved into your ear or armpit. It’s a grab, lift, move to hovering off of bed and drop. repeat three times. If cat returns then cat get stuffed under blankets and leaned/layed on. He generally will stay there for an hour or so, purrring away. dumb ass cat.
the dog, pretty much just grows exponentially as the night goes on. By midnight she weighs 80lbs. She also likes to eat in the middle of the night.
She also seems to be afraid of the dark, as she will nudge me until I wake up, and lick me until I go downstairs with her. After that she’s fine.
      Stupid dog.
