Finally, a job. Again.

So the first job didn’t really work out. After the first day I could see that I was going to eventually butt heads with the owner on accounting and procedural issues. I also didn’t see that the position would actually go anywhere. Conveniently I managed to get another job this past week. Oddly, it’s for an Alaskan company.

For the next few weeks it’ll be a normal 8-5 job while I train. Then I’ll be on second shift. 1pm-10pm. It’s going to be a bit of an adjustment, but it may very well work out for the best. It’ll give me time to work on projects in the morning, make doctor appointments with out having to take time off work, and the dog will mostly only have about 5 hours without someone home. This should help keep the vet bills down. The downside is I will hardly see Melissa. The plan is to get up with her in the morning anyhow, and take a nap later in the day. We’ll see how that works out.

Still NO WORD on the house. I severely doubt that we will actually be moving in at Christmas since it’s 35 days to process the mortgage and we don’t even know if the shortsale is approved yet. I hope it happens soon though, all of our stuff is still mostly boxed so boredom is becoming an issue for us. It would be nice to be able to start some projects, or just have some room to move around without having to walk over everything.

On the same note, I am looking forward to not having a house that requires constant work. Require being the key word. I will actually have time for some games and such.
