So this morning I decided finish messing with the color on the journal. I didn’t feel any pressure as there are only a few people NOT family that read this. At least only a few that I know of, and they are friends, or at the very least acquaintances. Most wouldn’t have the slighted idea of how to set up an account with LJ or any other blogging site. Getting sidetracked like I am apt, nay required by the laws of the universe to do I remembered that I had to fix something on my Debian install. I was something I had to fix once before a while ago. Normally I would bookmark it so if it came up I could find the solution, but I didn’t bookmark it because it was stupid simple. When I Googled it, a funny thing happened. My own journal entry came up. I obviously felt foolish enough that I posted about my ‘DO’H’ moment. The thing is, it occurred to me that I came across it that simply, how many others have done the same? Plus there is that random blog thing on LJ itself, I’ve seen Melissa lose hours with that. I don’t expect people to be so enamored with my boring updates to friends and family to go through and read more that the first entry they land on, (or rather the first few sentences) but the least I could do is give them some decent links of entertainment and education. Now granted, most of the people that hit my journal accidentally are not going to be interested in any of it, but the least I can do is give them them the opportunity.
Big thanks to Carnifex for the Science links. Yeh Science!
I also discovered that the colour representation on the laptop is not quite accurate. Instead of the colours you see now, I had these loverly brilliant & bold purples, pastel blues, and some pink. It was quite the surprise this morning, when I wasn’t all that awake to see all that color popping out like that.
