Whatever happened to old computer hardware being cheap. I’ve pieced (even had to replace some blown leaky capacitors) together another PC for a TIVO system. The durable AMD Processor I’ve had for 6 years was crushed by evil Gnomes. They were 3 apples high, had blue skin, white hats, and white pants. So I’ve been looking on the bay. What was going for $10 last month is going for $30 now. It seems the evil gnomes have been all over and there is now a shortage of obsolete hardware. I gave up on buying PC 133 Ram. It’s just not worth it.
Still, It’ll be cheaper than a whole new system, It still seems funny that I just got a 2Ghz processor for $27.50.
What is funnier is raw clock speed wise, it’ll be my fastest and cheapest.
All this just to tape TV. PBS, Discovery, DIY and ‘Shalom in the home’. ‘S Very Sad.
The nice thing is I’ll be able to watch them anywhere in the house.
