The cat got his feeding tube removed today. He’s gained a few ounces. The downside to this thus far is we now can’t just dilute his pills in water and inject them into him. You think getting a dog to take a pill is hard. With the cat, it’s a much smaller mouth, we have to to do (currently) 4-5 pills in a row. Plus he’s armed and as easy to handle a one of those wiggle water snake toys.
Haven’t really gotten much further on the window seat. Just been too tired by the time I get home. For the first part of the week I thought I was coming down with the flu. I think it’s just been from lack of sleep. Speaking of which, we got new mattresses today. Put some plywood between the box springs and the new mattresses to shore them up a bit. This should buy us a few more years before we have to build a new bed to fit a proper king size mattress I can’t say much more about it as I have yet to sleep on it. Melissa however, is sleeping already. This should be a good sign, then again she was falling asleep during Enterprise.
Enterprise. It’s kind of a shame it got canceled. We’re watching season 4 and it’s starting to get rather interesting. I can see how the ratings dropped though. It was kind of a preachy show. Much sci-fi (and Trek for that matter) is preachy, but not generally in a direct and obvious way. It sort of tells you what to think instead of drawing your own conclusions. I do really enjoy the Trek history aspect though. They really did have quite a good group of actors too.
Debian/Linux. I like it. I like it a lot. The are just way too many things to list. Admittedly a lot of it is because there is a bunch of new stuff to learn. Mostly though, it’s because of all the cool little programs. Much of which really follow the K.I.S.S. method. I don’t think it will ever replace windows for most users. There are far too many flavors for that. I’ll expound more on that some other night. Right now, to bed. Must break in new mattress
