Week of hell.

I’m just very easily irritated nowadays. A couple of co-workers are really getting on my nerves. I’m pretty sure one of them is just me being irritable, the other I know is starting to piss off quite a few of us. It’s taking me longer and longer to relax and forget about work when I get home and even then I wake up in the night and start thinking about it.

Part of the irritability may be…
I’ve got my coffee consumption down to weekends, I’ll probably start having a bit in the morning again next week when Melissa goes back to work. I just had no desire this week to make any here when I had to go to work and make some there too.

I am going to usher people at my sister’s wedding.
I’ve got to get measured for the tux for my sister’s wedding.
We’ve got to get ticket(s) to Michigan so I can get the tux for my sister’s wedding.
We’ve got to call a/the kennel to make sure there is an opening before we get ticket(s) to Michigan so I can get the tux for my sister’s wedding.
we’ve got to find someone to pill the cat, to call the kennel, to get measured for the tux, to purchase the ticket(s) to get to Michigan, to usher the people who are at my sister’s wedding…
I don’t know why she swallowed the fly…
perhaps she’ll die.

The new glass on the windows is in. It is very strange to be able to see out of them.the seals have been broken for so long, it seemed normal to look out fogged of filmy windows. The slightly thicker glass make a big difference in the sound transmission from outside. With the argon in the glass there is not near as much solar gain. This normally is a good thing, however it does make it less than optimal when one wants to lay in bed in a warm sunbeam. I can Pollyanna/anti-Pollyanna anything :-)
The new window for downstairs is finished, it will be delivered sometime next Thursday or Friday. This is according to plan. Plan that I made up yesterday when they called and said I could pick it up. Knowing it is too big for the van, and that we won’t be able to work on it until next weekend, I think it is a good plan. It is such a good plan, I think I may even incorporate a canal, and get a nice, white, hat. Just because I think A man, a plan, a canal, Panama! is cool. (if you don’t understand, spell it backwards.)
This weekend we replace the rotted busted up T1-11 siding on the side of the house. I’ve got seven panels pre-painted to match in the garage. They are of the resin impregnated type. Basically epoxy coated wood panels. In theory, they will last longer than we will. Especially with the extra coats of paint. It is amazing that I never noticed how close the hallway paint color is to the outside house color. Yes, there went a day of painting, and half a gallon of interior paint. Oops.
Hopefully it goes quick enough that we can get to digging out the front corner and replace the rotted skirting before next weekend.

One day I hope to get back to making furniture.
