I’ve been in Tacoma for a few days now. So far I have liked everything I have seen in-spite of the horrendous heat wave of the past week.
Since I’ve been here we’ve hit the Tacoma mall, had a picnic at Point Defiance Park, accidentally found an awesome Korean BBQ while trying to eat at a Filipino restaurant that is apparently closed on Sundays.
Da wife had to start back at work on Monday, so i drop her off, run errands, and look for houses. I’m getting to know my way around a bit as I drive around in the wife’s Grand Caravan which feels like it takes up 3 lanes here. Really, I have never seen so many Mini’s, Fiat 500’s, Beatles, A2’s, or C200’s. I have noticed a lack of Smart cars here.
Yesterday we drove out to Gig Harbor. Very nice out there. I think we would be better served Buying in Tacoma, and paying the daily toll for the bridge if Da Wife is moved to that location.
Today I cruised 6th Avenue. I was impressed, it was a bit of a deal closer for staying in Tacoma over Gig Harbor. I also found Tacoma Boys. I went in to see what exactly it was and ended up spending $80 on Dessert, Beer, snacks and groceries for dinner. Everyone in the store was extremely helpful and polite. They will most definitely be getting more of our business, especially since they carry a lot of the gourmet products that we love, and a pretty good selection of gluten free items for Da Wife.
All in all, Today has been the best day thus far. Now to go pick up Da Wife and finish making the filet mignon, mushroom, Anaheim chilies dinner I just prepped.
