Been buzzy

and busy.
Finished the majority of the dividing window for the master bedroom and the bathroom. It works REALLY well. After re-hanging the door so it actually shuts AND latches; there is no steam coming out of the bathroom. :)
We went with Plexi instead of Drywall so that the light from the skylight in the bathroom can still come into the bedroom. At first we were going to paint something on the plexi, but thought it would block out too much light. We were going to just put up the clear plexi until we figured out what we wanted to do, but it reminded us too much of the yellow glass with the circles from the 70’s. So we set about finding a shot of Mountains to etch into it. Then we thought it would be interesting to use the mountains that are on the East Side of Anchorage, since that is what you would see if the roof wasn’t in the way. Well that and a lot of rain and disgusted neighbors. So I played with various ways to scratch the mountains into the plexi and none of them worked on such a large scale. I ended up using the electric sander. It came out rather well, but it’s hard to see since the bathroom is currently white also.

Today we went to try on some cars. The Honda Fit was just about perfect. it was easy for either of us to get in AND out of. Lots of head room and cargo room. Really good MPG. it just didn’t ‘fit’ my legs. I also experiences a new thing. I sat in a new Beetle. My ass did not fit in the seat. It is an odd sensation. I did sit in a Jetta. It was very comfortable. It also let me know what size car I will have to get if I don’t want to wear it. I’m hoping to find a Jetta TDI with out super high miles.I also wouldn’t mint a Vibe or a Matrix. Just gotta keep looking.

Started framing in for the built in bookcase in the loft. I tore out the little bit I did when I was on vacation, I found a better, less drywall blending way to do it.

Well, I’m tired and distracted.
