So after a bunch of issues we are FINALLY in the process of actually purchasing the house. We should close sometime in early March. Then it’s an evening or two of cleaning, then a weekend of moving. I believe it will have been worth all of the troubles. The kitchen alone will have been worth the trouble, everything else is just free dark chocolate. Like the view.
I left Carlile Transportation on the 25th of January. The evening shift just wasn’t working out for me. I would end up working until 10 pm or even sometimes after midnight. No big deal in and of itself, the overtime was nice since it’s not like I was doing anything else anyhow. The problem was I couldn’t fall asleep until somewhere between 2 & 4 in the morning. I would then end up sleeping until 11 am with just enough time to get to work at 1 pm. So all I ended up doing was working and sleeping since there wasn’t much I could do from 10-2 at the apartment that would just make me stay awake even longer. I also had very little people contact. Just a few coworkers for a few hours, then towards the end of the night just two of us. I’ve spent my whole work-life in customer service of some-sort or another, I need people contact, even if it’s just to see them. I mean really, who wants to actually talk to them. The work situation was causing my depression to try and kick back in, so I decided that I would give them notice, stick around until they got someone trained, and then start looking for another place of employment.
On a whim I sent ONE resume out. I had a return call that afternoon while I was on a break, and they scheduled an interview for late Saturday morning for me. I was hired then and there. I am currently doing very similar work for BCI Properties, LLC A Greedy Fucking Used car salesman/reverend that thinks he’s a property manager in Tacoma, that I did for Pacific Rim Properties, Inc in Anchorage. After the first week I am comfortable with my coworkers, the owners, and my responsibilities. I am happy.
Now we just need to get the house thing settled and moved in. Oh, and I need to research a new vehicle for Melissa. The Caravan is just too cumbersome to drive around here with the tight lanes, and tighter parking spaces. As well as the tight driveway at the house. I’m thinking Forester, Soul, CX-5, or Escape. The key stats are wheelbase, rear legroom, a bit taller than my Mazda3, and rear cargo has to handle groceries, and Costco with the seat down
Yay! Progress! And then there will be munchkin!
Oh yeah! I should get a set for the house.
