Started working on the garage yesterday. Then I got a bit overwhelmed so I went back into the house with the idea that I would work on the server and put off the garage until this evening, or last night. Part of why it is so overwhelming is that there is a lot of stuff piled up from various projects that I have been in the middle of when something more pressing has jumped on the track. The attic, the bathroom, the dryer vent, mowing the lawn, eating, the crawl space… So I went upstairs to work on the computer and sat down. It seems that all I needed was to sit on one of my brains, push an idea out my ass, back to the garage I went with new determination and vigor. I was making excellent progress until I got to the water heater.
It had been leaking. Yes, once again a water problem. I figure it was combination of the Noah remarks from a couple of weeks ago, the holiday weekend, and sheer boredom on God’s part. (because being God would have to be boring nowadays.) I did what any sane person would do. I ignored it for awhile.
I got a whole bunch of other stuff done, packed the yard up for winter, put the stuff from the crawlspace into the shed that goes in the shed. It’s amazing how much space a wheelbarrow, a hose reel, 6 shovels and a rake can take up in the garage. Then we went out to eat and to hit Lowe’s for a grill cover and a hose end to see if I can fix the water heater. I haven’t been in the garage yet today to see if it worked.
Strangely, I got a whole lot done yesterday, yet I get to cross nothing off the list. Damn
