Stayed home sick yesterday. This sinus thing is really annoying. Makes you feel swimmy and your head Really hurts. Mostly in places it has never hurt before, or at least I’ve forgotten that it hurt there the last time my sinuses acted up like this.
Been trying to have a better outlook on our strange situation we’re in. In the past when our monthly disaster happened, there was always enough that it didn’t really impact us financially, it just sucked a lot. Basically nothing went into extra savings. It’s all my fault. I started making things more energy efficient. Our energy usage is down to about half of what it used to be, so the utilities have decided to increase there rates to compensate. We drive less, gas prices increased. I tried stopping in the car less, but it decided to not stop at all, and that 71,000 miles is too much for a set of brakes.
Anyhow, in trying to have a better outlook I decided that since I was home yesterday feeling really crappy, I could piddle around with cleaning the garage a bit. Put tools away, sweep, things that didn’t really take much effort but would make it look real good again. I figured if I just focus on one thing at a time, eventually things will get done.
That however, is my problem. It seems I can’t focus. I didn’t even notice I lost focus yesterday until I started typing this. You see, yesterday while cleaning the garage, I found the curtain rods up on the cabinet. The curtain rods that match the one currently over the sliding door. We didn’t put them up because eventually we are going to replace the window. and didn’t know exactly where they would end up being hung. It seems I was really tired of looking at them in the garage so I decided to hang them. So I brought them into the house and took down the old curtain rods. Well this window is in really bad shape. It’s going to be replaced next summer, so I might as well paint it white to match the rest of the trim and maybe seal the wood a bit better. and since it’s only temporary, I’ll just slop on the paint.
Strangely I had “I’m bringing home a baby, bumble bee, Wont my momma be so proud of me” looping in my head.
Melissa got home and apparently at first thought that I had secretly saved up money, and stayed home for them to install a new window.
Never did work on the garage though.
perhaps I should go see a Doctor. When I get some extra funds. :-)

*laugh* You might’ve lost focus, but it was a *productive* loss of focus!
