It has been a very odd month thus far.

I’ve managed to get quite a few magazines read BEFORE the latest issues arrived.

My office manager that I didn’t get along with work wise at the beginning, who I now get along with swimmingly (that’s probably not a good choice, as swimming is a just a way to keep from drowning. better to just say really well) has announced that her and her family are moving out of state. This made me very sad. For myself because I really do like her as a person, as an example, someone came in complaining that the grass was not green and that the trees were bare. “the lawn people aren’t dong their job” It was on May 1st. My manager’s response was, “Look outside Deer, there is still snow in a few patches, It’s early yet. It’s mother nature, not the landscapers.” The lady then spouted something about there being green patches and dead spots , to which my manager replied in a sing song tone, “well gas is much cheaper now, perhaps I could personally spread out new seed soaked in it and torch the whole thing, you’d get an even colour that way.”

I took last Monday off and picked up the plywood for the ‘Library’ built-ins. Took a load of crap to the dump.

We cut down in size the back fence, adjusted the gate like 5 times thus far. The ground keeps shifting.

built a storage cabinet for the middle bathroom.

finished ‘drawers’ for Melissa cabinet thingy in her closet.

Actually spread some seeds in the ground, and into the planter boxes that I still need to take pics of.

started some landscaping things in the back. Patched the dead area, I think. put the lattice back up along the fence to keep the dog in. and came up with a real good idea for the back yard, but it’s going to take a bit of money. It’s a project I will not be able to do myself. GASP!

yesterday Melissa and I worked outside all day. I ripped apart the front porch, and she prepped an area for pavers. I got the framing up for the new porch, and she got the pavers laid down. We burned 10^21 calories.
We’ve been getting the yard stuff done as it’s been absolutely beautiful out the last few weeks. After last summers 90% rain, we’ve been trying to get everything done before it turn to shite. Since Melissa is off next week, and I have a month of hell at the office, (most people are out next week, then a major support player is out all month) I wanted to get it done now so We had a place to relax and watch the peppers grow.

With a little luck, I’ll get some pictures up later this week.
