Been busy keeping up with my knee therapy. Doing better know, but I still have trouble with stairs and quick turns.
I’ve been having fun with the new PC downstairs and the LCD TV. Have a whole bunch of old games installed on it. Many can’t handle the giant resolution, but they’re fun to play nonetheless. We’ve also been watching HiDef movies on there. The detail in 1080p is enough that in SW you can tell that EpI was shot in less resolution because there is a shimmer to it. You also begin to realize that thy used a lot of burlap cloth in these films. The first three/last three (Ep IV, V, VI) have stood the test of time in this regard. There is enough resolution that you can see the grain to the film.
I’ve been able to get in some shop time. I’ve got a project I’m doing on for work. We needed a giant sorter in box thing. and a little one. Corp Exp sent us these shitty cardboard and particle board things that didn’t even fit together properly. They were also $165 ea. We sent them back. So far I’ve spent about $200 in material for two, and have enough to do at least one more. What have I learned? I need to realign my table saw, it’s off a bit. I also can’t do too much at one time yet as my knee starts to bother me. My weekend project has taken me two weeks because of it.
More some other day.
