Toilet trees

yesterday morning shortly after Melissa left for work I started working on the Master bathroom’s toilet. It has had a drip leak out of one of the tank bolts since shortly after we moved in. I comes and goes so it was never a big deal. but it was starting to flush not so good so it was time to get to it. I was just going to change out the tank innards. Like most things around here it was not to be the 15 minute job it should have been. The toilet was not actually the right size for the space. Being not the right size for the space, the tank didn’t actually fit properly. I had noticed that the tank was up on the wall, instead of away from it. How did I discover it doesn’t really fit like it should? A gallon of water goes a long way. About 3 feet before I could get the towels. After driving around town to get a smaller toilet, $$$ :( I remove the old one and discover it wasn’t installed to the floor right either. I put in the new toilet and all initially goes smoothly. (should have been a clue) I fill the tank, drip drip drip. a leak out of one of the bolt holes. Different toilet. Different bolt hole. Upon inspection there is a chip out of the ceramic on the inside of the tank. I will be taking the tank back,(hopefully) to exchange it today. Th cool thing was watching the toilet work. It has like a 2 second flush. You can almost feel the air rush past.

Melissa and I have been playing Age of Mythology. I have made a very large map with a lot of stuff. We discovered that it really slows the system down once you’ve been playing for awhile. Realizing that the computer players use a lot of resources, we built a another computer out of spare parts to host the game. It helped for a bit, but then when it started we had all kinds of trouble and the server decided to resign. Which took us by surprise since it was set up as a regular human player.

Well, time to get back to my toilet.
