Earlier this month I got my annual raise. I also got to drop my supalamentahl insurance (AFLAC!). It seems that this tipped the balance, and the powers of evil have decided to destroy my last monitor. I assume it was evil, the monitor certainly became possessed. It just started screaming like a banshee last night. it didn’t seem to do it from the one computer (I’m on a KVM switch with the server currently) so I figured it had to be some obscure setting. I dinked with it for a couple of hours, only to discover that if there was enough white on the screen on the other computer it screamed there too. Had to bite the bullet and get a new monitor. Looked online, found one I wanted, looked for the best price. COSTCO! So off to a late trip to COSTCO. They don’t have it in the store anymore. (it was there Sunday) Got a different one. Took it home, set it up. I’ll spend the next few weeks tweaking it I’m sure.
I’m still having sinus headaches. Damned Voodoo doll.
