So this weekend wordpress released a new version of Jetpack that finally has support for custom post types. It was interesting to see how the comic actually posted to the various sites. I’m happy for the most part. It gives the same look that I was manually doing in Facebook, and it keeps a similar with Tumblr which I much prefer to the way it was posting manually. Twitter of course is kind of silly to use for a visual medium, but having had problems in the past with theft of intellectual property it is set up. Really I suppose I use it as an advertisement, which is what the majority of people use it for, whether their aware of the fact or not.I have no idea if Path works, or what it looks like. There doesn’t seem to be a browser interface and I’m not putting it on my phone. Though, now that I think about it, we do have a few older phones floating around that I could put it on. There is still no auto post to Pinterest, which for me, and other visual medium blogs/sites is kind of a letdown.
While Publicize in Jetpack is certainly going to save me some time on Sunday morning, I do lose the ability to do a custom comment for the posts. At least separately from the actual posting content. I just have to change my habit I guess. It’ll probably be better for SEO anyhow.
