So far so good.

Yesterday I came home to keep an eye on Melissa. She really wasn’t feeling at all well. I’ve started spring cleaning. Kind of. One bathroom is completely wiped down and the kitchen counters are all wiped down and the wood back-splash has a new coating of lacquer. Some more of the loft is cleaned up, the rest will wait until the new motherboard gets here so I know what is left over to put on Ebay and Craigslist. I also plan to start the built in shelves this weekend. That should help with some of these books lying around here.

It is currently 30°F outside. This isn’t quite above freezing, but it is only 6:34AM and the attic temp is already 35.6°F. We should be leaking into the house. While it would be nice to know if our gutter is going to work, I’m rather glad it is currently not needed. It is early yet though.

It’s going to be nice to get this server off of my desk. It’s not in the way or anything, but the house is usually very quiet. Really the server isn’t all that loud either, Just the house is very quiet, and the very open architecture, and the server is right in an echo spot, and right on my desk about 3 feet from my ear. It’s funny, a few years ago if the computers were on it sounded like a jet warming on a runway in the house. Now the loudest computer in the house gets drowned out by the furnace kicking in, or somebody talking. The server is just this strange background noise that nobody but us ever notices. It’s annoying like buzzing light fixtures.
