The post office is taking it’s sweet time in delivering everything so that we can send it all back to the lower 48. I think its looking like stuff is not going to make it on time.
We got our gas bill for the month of the cold snap. This was going to be the test of all that work we did last spring. It’s not looking good. Our thermostat has been set to 65 this year, (70 last) The garage heater is down to 60 (70 last year as I was working in there a lot). Our usage went up. Quite a bit. Average monthly temp was 13 (15 last year). I’m really hoping that there were still a few rather warm days in the billing cycle that threw off the average from the single digits. The difference in gas usage from this year to last is enough that i worry that the furnace or water heater is going out. Perhaps I should mess with that so I don’t worry about it all day.
