After exactly two months I have finished going through the old comics and bringing them up to my current standards of legibility and photo clarity. I also re-sized every file to a more manageable size. It seems not everyone has the luxury of being able to view the comics in 1800 pixels. I’m probably still pushing it a bit with the 1400 width, but I didn’t want to have to redo them all again when more people move up to higher resolution displays. The comic still looks as good on a 4K TV as it does on a tablet, so I’m happy.
There was one strange glitch, one comic page was completely corrupted. No matter what I did it just went bonkers. I even deleted it and redid it. I finally just changed the entry name and that solved the problem. As near as I can figure, for whatever reason, someone at Automattic does not like J.Geils “My angel is the centerfold”, or possibly J Geils in general. After I changed the name to “Olan Mills” and it solved the issue; I tried it again renaming it to “my angle is the centerfold” and that was corrupted as well. Someone really dislikes that song.
Now I just have to go through, make a few more tweaks, and make sure I don’t have anymore unwanted lyrics as titles.
